UNI COMP, INC
YEAR 2000 - 9999 COMPLIANT
UniComp warrants that all our software products are Year 2000 compliant, and beyond.
We have rigorously tested our software, by resetting our R&D department's computer clocks two (2) years into the future. We have also gone further, beyond the year 2038 (when some application programs may experience date calculation- related problems) in order to ensure that all date-dependent input, calculation and document generation is compliant through the Year 9999.
We also performed the same tests on our other software packages, which are in the final stages of development. These include superior solutions for Time & Billing, Docket Control & Calendaring, Collections and Forms Management. Then, when we took a break, we checked out a very good Year 2000 Humor site we think you might enjoy!
All of our systems have been designed from the ground up to be four-digit year compatible, and to not rely on "long integers" as a way of calculating seconds since 1970 in order to perform date-specific calculations. In fact, we have been Year 9999 compliant since 1983, when our company was born and we developed software for Wang Laboratories' OIS and VS product lines.
So, the only thing you might have to worry about regarding "Y2K" compliance when deploying our superior software solutions is whether or not...
Your computer's motherboard and/or processor is compliant...
Your current operating system software is compliant...We know for a fact that Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, with Service Pack 5 (or higher) is compliant. So is Windows 98, with Service Pack 1 installed. Some earlier versions of Windows 95, however, are not. Patches and updates for these are available on the Internet, by visiting Microsoft Corporation's Download Page. Another great general source for other "fixes" (plus drivers and other resources), be they Year-2000 related or not, is provided by the "Winfiles" site, hosted and maintained by CNET, Inc., the Computer Network people.
If you have a Word Processor capable of reading Rich Text Format (RTF) files, you may then view our formal Y2K Compliance Letter.
One of many good general sources of Y2K information on the Internet comes from the The President's Council on Year 2000 Conversion.
